Braised Salted Soy Beans Pork Belly
Ingredients:
500g Pork Belly Slices
2 Potatoes (Finely Diced)
1 Cinnamon Stick
Marinade:
1 Teaspoon D’Palate Garlic Powder
⅓ Teaspoon D’Palate Anchovy Powder
5pcs Shallots
1 Tablespoon Salted Soya Beans
1 Tablespoon Oyster Sauce
1 Tablespoon Dark Soya Sauce
1 Teaspoon Palm Sugar
Method:
- Blend marinade with 2 tablespoon of water until fine in a food processor.
- Combine marinade and pork belly and leave in fridge for 1hour or more.
- Add marinated pork belly, diced potatoes, cinnamon stick and 200g water into pot.
- Simmer on low heat for 1hour or more. (I simmered mine for 2 hours).
- Season to taste with fish sauce.
Notes: The potatoes will disintegrate and thicken the sauce naturally without having to add flour mixture which is healthier for kids than adding flour to thicken the sauce.
