Braised Petai Chicken
Ingredients:
600g Chicken pieces
100g Petai (aka Bitter Beans)
1 Yellow Onion (thinly sliced)
1 tablespoon Salted Beans (mashed)
1 tablespoon Chinese cooking wine (Shaoxing wine)
500ml Water
Seasoning:
1 tablespoon D'Palate Chicken Powder
½ teaspoon D'Palate Garlic Powder
½ teaspoon Sugar
½ teaspoon Light Soya Sauce
Method:
1. Heat up 2 tablespoon of oil. Add in onion and stir fry until onion turns translucent.
2. Add in chicken pieces and stir fry until chicken is white.
3. Add in mashed salted beans, all the seasonings, and 500ml water. Simmer for 30mins or until gravy starts to thicken.
4. Add in petai and chinese cooking wine and simmer for another 10mins.
5. Season with light soya sauce to taste.
