Baked Bacon Crispy Chicken
Ingredients:
1 Whole Chicken
3 Tablespoon Melted Butter
1 Tablespoon Paprika
1 Teaspoon D'Palate Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoon D'Palate Chicken Powder
A Prince of Salt
4 Strips Of Bacon
Method:
1. Cut the chicken through the breast and split half. Wash and pat dry.
2. Mix D'Palate Chicken Powder, D'Palate Garlic Powder, butter, paprika and salt in a bowl. Rub all over chicken to marinade for an hour in the fridge on a roasting pan.
3. Preheat oven to 200deg. Place chicken into oven and bake for 30minutes.
4. Lay bacon strips over chicken and bake for additional 15minutes.
Patting dry the chicken before marinating gives you the crispy chicken skin on the outside during roasting. It is a great dish to serve on days when you want to leave the chicken in the oven and just get on with your errands. The bacon gives a nice smoky taste to the skin so do not add too much salt in the marinade.
